Saigon - My Tho - Ben Tre - The Upper Mekong River
08.00: Our bus will pick you up at your hotel to take a 2-hour ride to
Tien Giang province (roughly 75 km west of Sai Gon ) followed by a smooth one and half hour motorboat ride passing rice fields and stopping over National Highway 1 leads visitors to the beautiful rural district of
Trung Luong.
09.30: The bus stops at
Cao Dai temple in the town of Ben Luc for taking picture.
09.45: Upon arrival to
My Tho City, cross the
Tien River by motorboat on the upper part of the
Mekong River to see the fishing market and visit the floating fish farm. Enjoy the view of
Dragon, Phoenix, Unicorn, and Turtle island as well. Cruise along small creeks through Mekong River estuaries to
Rach Xep natural canal, which is fully covered with water coconuts. Visit orchards and be farms to taste natural honey and honey wine. Enjoy!
Visit old houses and see local pepole made hand working coconut tree.
10.50: Take a walk around the fruit garden and taste the seasonal fruits as you enjoy a traditional
South Vietnamese musical performance.
11.15: After visiting traditional houses enjoy a memorizing rowing boat trip through small canals.
11.45: Take a motorboat cruise along more natural creeks and peaceful villages.
12.10: Satisfy your sweet tooth by stopping by a coconut candy mill to indulge in this tasty snack while seeing how it is made.
12.20: Enjoy a Vietnamese lunch in a restaurant located in a local home.
13.20: Ride your bike (about 1 hour) around the village shaded by coconut trees as you pass immense green rice fields and admire the beautiful scenery
- Visit a rice vendor and see how rice paper is made.
- Learn about the “same same, but different” trees that grow throughout the
Mekong Delta Day Tour. Then, try guessing the names of the trees by using your nose!
14.30: Boat back to My Tho City.
16:30 Tour ends in Hochiminh city.
